If you think about the attention you give to a promotional email from a company then think about how you respond to a social media message – how does it differ?

I know that in my experience I am much more likely to just hit delete with an html email from a company that looks like a sales email but I would read a tweet sent to me or a message sent via Facebook – but why? Social media is just that – more social and at the moment there is not an awful lot of junk or spam messages that come to us from this source. In Zoho CRM you are able to connect your Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts (Or your organisations). Then you can search for your prospects and when you find their profile, associate it with the lead – there is even an option to pull their photo through to the CRM from Twitter.

Then instead of sending out an ineffective HTML email you can drop them a tweet or join in with the conversation.

Within the Zoho campaign app you can use your HTML email templates to pull through as a tab in Facebook, ideal for special offers, webinar invitations or just updating your Facebook friends with the latest industry news. You can even send out tweets and LinkedIn posts that link to your HTML email online. All the usual options are available with regards to how many clicks you receive to each post. The perfect landing page option with built in analytics.

Talking of analytics – Zoho campaigns also allows this integration with Google analytics, you can see how your campaign has been received as well as view other analytic data.

Zoho certainly have the right idea with mainstream marketing moving more in the direction of social and have followed on from this with a new integration with their Survey tool as well as external links with Eventbrite.
